Even though this film was produced 9 years ago it remains as powerful as ever - perhaps this is because of the events taking place in Gaza where the Palestinians are being displaced and denied the right to return.

It awakened me to the fact that these psychopaths in ‘government’ represent no one and do things to other people in the name of no one (but themselves). Then down the track the people they do not represent and knew nothing of their actions get scapegoated and are asked to pay reparations … to the perpatrators. Who ever even knew of this atrocity against the people of the Chagos Islands for the purpose of building a military base in the middle of the Indian Ocean? These anti-Chagonists need to be held accountable.

I saw this documentary years ago and it exemplifies the thuggery of the so called “civilised west”. Meanwhile we are calling others barbarians. I agree about psychopaths running the west, virtually no one knows much about psychopaths, their modus operandi, how they think, their aims etc. They are pirhanas and we are their prey.

Calling others barbarians serves to justify their own atrocities.

They're Straussians they follow the philosophy of deception.

The only reason why we have governments doesn't appear to have been with the intention of looking after the best interest of humanity but to control humanity in every sense of the word.

Our problem is that collectively we quite simply haven't figured out how to hold public servants accountable when they've so obviously ignored the oath that they are under.

Even though we are still able to express our discontent over the web our political ''overlords'' are trying hard to criminalize criticism of government.

Collectively we're cowards.

Initially I thought it was an update on the original film but it's been a awhile so it's good to watch it once more - I've known about Diego Garcia and that the local population was tricked into leaving never to be allowed to return.

The discovery doctrine lurks under the surface.

The contrast to the Falkland war exposed the hypocrisy that it's all about the oil while Chagos islanders are viewed as non people by empire and that's what it's really all about.

Political representation is a farce - it's all about empire - when those in high office don't serve the interests of empire they'll be replaced very quickly by someone who is willing to sell their morals for a step up the corporate ladder.

So there's the problem - collectively we've not figured out how to hold public servants accountable when they've so very obviously and deliberately taken the wrong path.

I saw this documentary years ago and as you say exemplifies the utter brutality and thuggery of our so called “leaders”. The problem is that people have little idea how dangerous psychopaths are and how easily they manipulate us. We as a species are unfortunately susceptible to being impressed by charismatic, confident people, we are apathetic, easily manipulated and brainwashed so we continue to allow these predators to rule us. Only a tiny minority can see through them and challenge them via protests, activism etc but our numbers and tiny influence are rarely enough to break through to the general public consciousness. Israel is an exception now and ever larger numbers are starting to see through the carefully constructed myths. Another problem with psychopaths is that the capitalist system is the ideal playground for them, where the dirtier you play the more chance you have to succeed. If anyone reading this meets one whether male or female RUN. If you get involved with one they will destroy your life and then when they are finished with you they will move to the next victim. They are pirhanas and we are their prey. I would recommend to everyone to research them as much as possible.

Thank you Julius for providing this information. I am of the view that if Australian citizens had knowledge of this abhorrent issue, they would condemn the Australian Corporate Government (ACG) for it's ongoing involvement.

What the hell has happened to our humanity. What the hell happened to love for humanity. What the hell happened to integrity.

Another excellent documentary. I love John Pilger. I don't know if you've seen my recent but I embedded The 13 Sugar Colonies, which fit exactly with my topic: https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/talmud-tricks-and-torah-curses. I think you'll like it.

No matter - we have enough else to view and read. I do not have a 'smart device' necessary to sign up to Telegram.
